The two person programmer team behind the Unobtrusive JavaScript plugin for Ruby on Rails announced a new version of their product. The plugin is intended to help web developers using Ruby on Rails to create JavaScript and AJAX applications more easily. This includes the ability to define page bahavior with CSS and Ruby, to use built-in JavaScript and AJAX helpers, and to apply unobtrusively script.aculo.us effects.
For the new version the developers have fixes a number of important bugs, changed the name of the plugin to "UJS Rails", added new features, and launched a new website at http://www.ujs4rails.com/. The plugin code repository is now located at http://source.ujs4rails.com/.
The latest version of the plugin now has its own tag, which should make it work with Rails’ built-in script/plugin script:
http://source.ujs4rails.com/current/unobtrusive_javascript
Finally, one can report issues on the UJS Rails Plugin Trac: http://trac.ujs4rails.com
One can also find updated RDoc documentation at http://docs.ujs4rails.com.
